In this edition of the Subie Scoop I give a visual recap of the event with Subaru of America from Overland EXPO West 2026 in Flagstaff, Arizona. This was such a great trip meeting new people and seeing people I hadn’t seen since last year at Overland EXPO East in Virginia.
Camp Subaru was elevated this year and was such an amazing space put together for all the campers and others who were truly blessed to experience Camp Subaru! The food was AMAZING!!! Not your typical camp food, this was gourmet food we all experienced! So, so good!!
The space for Subaru at the EXPO was also elevated with a permanent structure for the pet adoption, an area for genuine Subaru accessories, and more space for all the vehicles and people to move around with ease. There were three factory vehicles, all Wilderness editions; Crosstrek, Forester, and Outback. The Forester Hybrid that Carey Mtn Subi drove in the Rebelle Rally was also featured in the booth along with two owner vehicles, a Crosstrek Wilderness driven by Mercedes and Andy of Crankshaft Culture and a Forester Sport driven by Chris Silverroo Offroad.

[00:00:06] This is going to be the shortest Subie Scoop ever. It's been a long few days for me at Overland Expo, so I wanted to at least post something so that if you didn't see my story on Instagram on my podcast page, that if you're listening to this, I can direct you to Instagram and check out The Reel,
[00:00:31] because I'm doing kind of like a video Subie Scoop this time for this Monday. So I didn't want to not put something out here in case you just happen to tune in automatically because you want to check out the latest Subie Scoop. So this is just to let you know that you can go and check out my Instagram Reel
[00:00:56] and see a snippet of what went on this past weekend at Overland Expo West in Flagstaff, Arizona, 2026. I will say because there's no audio with the video, I had a really good time. I met some new people. I was able to see people I hadn't seen since last year and I got a lot of really good video
[00:01:24] content. I'm going to be, I don't exactly know how I'm going to put it together, but I'm going to be putting together a, some probably three separate long form videos on YouTube. One for this space that, that Subaru occupied at Overland Expo where they had the factory vehicles and the owner vehicles.
[00:01:48] And then another long form video for the trail ride that we did out to edge of the world on Thursday. And then yet another video for all of the activities that went on at Camp Subaru, because I don't want to put it together all as one long video, which I may end up doing that, but I'm still not sure yet. So I'm either going to do one long video, kind of like in chronological
[00:02:17] order starting from Thursday and then going through, um, the booth space at Overland Expo and then Camp Subaru, or I'm going to end up doing three separate videos. I haven't decided, but I'm also going to put together several shorter videos that I can put on Instagram as reels. And then other videos I can
[00:02:39] put together on TikTok and then create some various YouTube shorts. So I have a lot of footage, uh, and you know, I'm going to have to edit a lot of it. So I don't know exactly when I'm going to put that all together. I also did some audio recording like I did last time, and I will put that out as a bonus
[00:03:03] episode. So there's that. And then I also recorded episode 229 with somebody in person there at the end of the whole event on Sunday, I recorded it, um, kind of late afternoon. And, uh, that was really, really cool because it was somebody that I got to see again, uh, that I hadn't seen since last year,
[00:03:31] somebody that was at Overland Expo in Loveland, Colorado last year, got to meet up with this person again here at Overland Expo West. So I said, Hey, I want you to be my next guest and we will record on while I'm there. And so it worked out well because I'm not coming home until today, Monday, and this person was not leaving until Monday also. So we had Sunday afternoon to just
[00:04:00] take time and record. And then after we ended up recording, we went and had dinner together. So it was really great to get some one-on-one time with this person. And, uh, cause that's like, you don't always get a chance to do that when you're at events because a lot of times you see a whole bunch of different people and you talk to a bunch of different people in little segments
[00:04:24] here and there. But because we both had time Sunday afternoon, we were able to record and then go spend some time together even further by having dinner together. And that was really, that was a really special moment. And, uh, it really meant a lot. So again, go check out my Instagram reel. I guess I'm doing a Subie scoop here. You know, I said it was going to be really short and this is still short,
